Can I just take a second to vent?

Well, wait this is my blog so of course I can. Moving on.

For MONTHS I have been eyeing this one specific blazer on J. Crew's website. I even considered purchasing it right when I found it for $118 (yikes!), but I decided to be logical and just add the product's page to my bookmarks to stalk it until it went on sale. Or until I could find a reason to justify spending that much money on a blazer. Whichever came first.

Eventually it did go on sale proving that I was right to wait. However, it was still a bit pricey. I think it was in the $70 range? Whatever, anyway. I freaked out, but still decided to wait just in case it was reduced again. This brings me to my first encounter with the blazer in person. It's important to know at this point that the blazer comes in two different colors: white and a really pretty gray color. I'm sure you can tell from the way I worded that which one I want to own.

I took a mall trip with my friend Shannon (click her name to check her blog!) and the whole time we were out shopping I was eagerly waiting to see if J. Crew would have the blazer in store. Well, they did. Not only that, it was only in the $40 range! Dream come true right? I could hardly believe it, but two problems occurred here: 1. They had it in white, and 2. It was a size too big. Why buy the blazer when it wasn't in the color I wanted and it was in the wrong size?

When we made our way to the register to purchase what I did end up buying that day, I made a mention of it to the lady who nicely offered to order the blazer I wanted, in the color I wanted, for that same super awesome price as it was in store! I jumped across the counter and gave this lady the biggest hug that I had given anyone and literally sang the words "yes please!" and all of my dreams came true! Wait, that's in a perfect world in which I don't and never will reside in. In the real world, I said no. Stupidly. I really wanted to see the blazer in person, in the color that I wanted. I know I'm picky, but who can really blame a girl?

Now let me tell you about last week when J. Crew had an AMAZING sale online. They offered an extra 40% off clearance items + free shipping. This would make the total price of the blazer and shipping $44. I was ecstatic. Problem here? My bank account and I weren't on the same page. See a pattern yet? My ducks are never in a row. The sale was continuing until the following Tuesday which was pay day for me so I figured I would wait until then to order it, given they had the color and size I wanted still in stock.

Days turned to nights and sizes kept selling out, but they still continued to carry an 8. I was happy. This time I wasn't giving up! I'd finally grace my closet with this blazer's presence. That was, until that Sunday night, when I visited the webpage for the 100th time and the drop down size menu only said "0, 2, 4, 12". UM, I COULD HAVE CRIED. I'm even positive that I did, on the inside. How could it come down to this after constantly stalking this blazer since it first came out?

Today, almost a week later I happily went onto J. Crew's website to make my rounds and see what they had in. To torture myself some more, I decided to go to the blazer's product page and just take a wild guess at what I saw? MIRACULOUSLY, MAGICALLY, SOMEHOW SOMEWAY they now have a size 8 and it's in the color that I want. Fabulous, right? Not really. It's back to the price of $69.99.

Not cool, J. Crew. Not cool AT ALL!

I've been having a very productive day off.

Last night I laid out the contents of my bedside table onto my bed, which I knew would force me to organize and go through it today. I didn't get rid of TOO much, but I simply placed some items that I knew I didn't need in my room into other storage items around the house. It's not the most organized tactic, but the goal was to de-clutter and I accomplished that.

I've been searching for a deco den case for my iPhone. If you're reading this and have no idea what I'm talking about, they're basically these super blingy, bulky, crazy awesome cases for your phones! I think I might have found the one that I want, but I want to be sure before I go and buy it. The nice thing is that most sellers of the deco den cases can make customizable ones as well, so if I want anything altered on the one that I found then my seller is able to do that for me. I am a bit worried, because I haven't seen one in person yet. I've only spotted them online and in a few YouTube videos. At the same time, not seeing them around town makes me happy, because it means that's it's still somewhat unique and not overrated.

I've still failed to produce one OOTD post! I need to make that a short-term goal.

In other exciting news, I GOT A 'B' IN FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING! I thought for sure I was getting a 'C', which would make my term grades one 'A', one 'B', and one 'C' but nope! Somehow I managed to pull through which means I made an 'A' and two 'B's. Needless to say, I was ecstatic to see it and I still am!

Wednesday Wishes

Okay, how cute is this?

It's an iPhone holder that I found on Etsy, and I'm absolutely loving it. I just can't get over the idea of a mini whale cradling my iPhone for safety! It comes in two colors: pink and blue, but I'm really leaning towards the blue one. I mean seriously, how cute are the little fins on the side?

Today was kind of a lazy day. I had nothing to stress out about for summer classes because, as my Twitter followers already know, they're done! I officially have a month and two days before classes start back up again and I'm going to enjoy every second of it.

Nicky came over this afternoon and we tried to plan our North Carolina trip. This turned into Youtubing videos of husky puppies, which moved on to corgi puppies, then later on evolved into baby seals. You get the point. Nothing has really been accomplished as far as to WHERE we'll be shacking up. If we wait long enough, it may just be in my car on the side of the road somewhere. Which, don't get me wrong, I'm obsessed with my car but sleeping in it? I'm just not sure how I feel about that.

I received news from the internship that I applied for with the city for event and festival planning. I just have to pass a background check and a drug test before we get the paper work started! I don't want to start posting anything about being an official intern, but it looks like I'm on the right track which is awesome. :)

Creating these headers reminds me of

the Neopet days. Creating blends and guild layouts was always so much fun for me. I'd sit in front of the computer for HOURS trying to perfect my graphics.

I realize now my style is A LOT simpler, and there's a lot less time involved when creating a simple banner for my blog. I still use the same graphics program that I used years ago, so I can't help but to feel a little bit nostalgic when I open it to create something.

I've worked at 7AM for the past three days, so I'm beyond excited to sleep in tomorrow morning! Not too late though, because I'll be going out to breakfast with my boyfriend before he heads off to work. It'll be a nice start to a *hopefully* productive Monday!

I want to put up some OOTD posts, but I haven't really been dressing up for anything and if I do I'm too busy using every last minute to get ready so I'm unable to snap some pictures. I need to start allotting more time for such things.

I'm already trying to figure out a

new header design. Isn't that terrible? I just get sick of things so quickly, unfortunately.

I worked today from 7AM-11AM. Although it wasn't too eventful, those of you who follow me on Twitter saw the suggestion from a customer today to do some whippets to help wake him up. I was literally like "Oh my God". I couldn't even stop the words from coming out. After, I offered him some coffee in which he returned that coffee was "bad for you". Oh, whippets aren't?

My sisters and I finally took a mall trip together! I intended on not buying anything, but I failed. Not terribly, but I failed nonetheless. I purchased some eyeliner from Sephora in purple and a silver/gray color. I'm excited to try something other than my usual black. I also picked up a white bandeau, so I can finally wear my white lacy top the right way. I grabbed some pink hair strand clip-ins, which my Twitter followers saw earlier. I don't know what to make of it. It bothers me that it looks wig-like. Honestly, I'd really love to get a permanent pink strand in my hair just for fun.

I'm feeling so lazy, that I'm already in my pjs and ready to relax for the night. I have work at 7AM again, so I'm praying I actually get to bed at a decent time.

I like the idea of having scheduled posts.

That way it gives me an expectation to meet and I won't get the chance to neglect my blog. Wednesday's post is easy, because obviously "Wednesday" and "Wishes" both start with a "W". Plus, who doesn't want to talk about the items they desire to own?

1. The white iPad 2 - I can't even begin to explain how unnecessary this item is for me to wish for. I just can't get over how pretty the whiteness of it is though. I'm pretty much a sucker for anything Apple, so maybe that's the issue.
2. Miss Dior Cherie - My roommate from last fall semester would wear this perfume all the time, and I loved it! Right now I'm using the sample that I received from Sephora on Monday, but eventually I'll own my own bottle when I get through my other two perfumes.
3. Urban Decay's Naked Palette - Believe it or not, I wasn't crazy about this makeup palette at first, but the more I read the rave reviews about it, the more I want to give it a shot! The colors are so neutral and would match with anything.

Headers, Puppies, & Ball Pythons Oh My!

It's been a while since I've posted.

I decided to give making my own header a shot, and voila! The top banner was the finished product. I kept it super simple, and I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out. Thank goodness for Google images for supplying cute heart patterns to choose from.

Today, Nicky and I went to a puppy pet store to take me out of my slump for not receiving a paycheck for the past two weeks, being I was on a vacation. It was exactly what I needed, except I wanted to take every pup home with me. Uh, the problem here is that my mom doesn't even want me having a fish. We also ended up looking around a reptiles and exotic creatures pet store where they had little ball pythons which oddly enough, I found to be adorable? The only way I can justify it is because of their tiny blacked-out eyes. The store also had baby chameleons which were equally as cute! What was not so cute  was the 50 lb. boa they had in the back. That thing freaked me out.

I ended the night with going to Starbucks with one of my friends that I haven't seen in a while, and it was nice to finally catch up with her. Starbucks seems to be the default place to do that sort of thing.

I'll be hitting S Bucks for a second time tomorrow with my friend Chris! Call me addicted, I don't really care.
